24th June 2011 - ZUMBATHON

Postby Ags » Thu Jun 16, 2011 7:04 am

A charity Zumbathon will take place in The Victoria Hall Campbeltown on Friday 24th June from 7 till 9PM.
Come along wearing something bright and join in the carnival atmosphere.
Entry is £5 and there will also be a fabulous raffle.
The money raised is going to the charity Get Kids Going which helps disabled cildren and young adults participate in sport. The charity is also currently raising money to supply wheelchairs for London 2012. There are over 200 disabled kids with the potential to compete in London and who receive none or very little funding. A group of 8 of us are hoping to help some of these kids achieve their dream. We will be holding various fundraising events throughout the summer, culminating with the Great North Run in September.
Thanks from the group go to Aqualibrium and Aqualibrium Zumba Instructors for their support

A huge thank you to all you 'Zumbathoner's ' who came along and supported this charity event last Friday night , it was a huge success . Great to see so many of you come dressed up for the carnival , it really added to the atmosphere , along with the glow whistles , wrist bands and glow in the dark glasses . Thanks to Jamie G for setting up the lights and last but not least all the Zumba instructors who put us through 2 hours of non stop ZUMBA . :)

A grand total of £300 was raised for the GET KIDS GOING charity . Thank you :D
