4th Annual Kintyre Songwriters Festival is this weekend (27th-29th May 2011)

Friday night @ Whisky Macs:
An unprecedented showcase of 6 local bands plus other performers from 9pm. Sessions and more from 7.30pm. Free entry and cocktail bar.

Saturday afternoon @ The White Hart:
Open stage from 2pm. Free entry.
Come down and get involved or just listen to the live music.

Saturday night @ The White Hart:
The legendary Saturday Showcase featuring a wealth of local talent plus top blues artist Dave Arcari, folk icon Ivan Drever and the lovely Emily Rose Conlon. Doors 7pm. Start 7.30pm prompt. Limited seating. £10 entry, limited tickets available, please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Sunday afternoon @ The White Hart:
Music industry seminar with Dave Arcari. Advice on touring, promotion and publishing. From 2pm. Free entry. Limited places available.

Sunday night @ The White Hart:
The return of the Sunday Showcase featuring even more fantastic local talent plus prolific Glasgow singer/songwriter Robin Adams, a rare acoustic show from the captivating former Morcheeba frontwoman Amber Wilson and a sure-to-be-stunning solo performance from Adriana Spina, fresh from supporting Sheryl Crow and Paulo Nutini. Doors 7pm. Start 7.30pm prompt. Limited seating. £10 entry, limited tickets available, please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

I only managed 1 this year, but what a night it was! Particular highlights were Emily, Ivan and Dave, and I second everything JEM says. Can't wait to take full advantage next year!!
