Just wanted to say a very big THANK YOU for geting the web cam up and running again. I log on most days just to see the Loch and the Wee Toon. I live in Peterborough - no lochs, no hills, just flat flat flat!!!! :(
The site is a great site and the photographs are wonderful. I showed my friends in Florida and they could not believe how beautiful Campbeltown is and we have Palm Trees!
Have a great New Year and I hope the weather is dry for the bells. :D

What is with everyone and the palm trees! Nobody believes there is palm trees anywhere in Scotland never mind Campbeltown. I had to take some pictures of the ones down the front, right in front of the PALM Bistro to show people here!

Jeesh!!!
Luv ya billions!!!

Thanks for the photo Davie the tulip displays this year were beautiful. :D Did I hear correct that they were not going to do some of the flowers next year. :( I know they are getting rid of the green houses. I must admit that it always seemed such a waste that at the end of season the flowers and bulbs are dug up and thrown away. I would of thought in this day of recycling those flowers and bulbs could of been sold off at a bargin price, maybe one of the local charties doing the selling and receiving the profit made. Each year a different charity given the opportunity to do the sale. :?: :!:

Checked the webcam and saw this tonight. Is that just a very low cloud with rain? Looks interesting,

interesting. I thought maybe drips or something, but then it was looking like a fire out there on subsequent images. I haven't seen much rain lately and rarely condensation!

(Thanks, ionns)

Plus the fact that I am delirious with sickness today (I never get sick, and I'm coughing and whining  ), and have my blankets on and my little tissues at hand... I think some care packages of chicken soup would be in order? 8)

I've cleaned the lens Bobbie. In fact I went to place a new webcam outside this afternoon but snapped it as it was bit squint.

I'm really keen to get a decent webcam up and running that would move and stream.

Don't suppose anyone out there has any advise on this subject?

Looked on the web but as usual far too much information.

It actually looks like they're testing the latest Stealth bombers AGAIN at the base!

Have been medicating with Jameson's, honey, lemon and water. Apparently not medicating well enough. Think I'll try it without the honey, lemon and water, just hand me the bottle

The guy who runs a local web cam uses a sony digital camcorder (expensive, but has a great image.. ). He leaves it on and its a static image, but when he has time he sits and manually moves the cam around and zooms in and out etc. The sight he uses has a chat facility as well, so people can chat about it.. His name is Robert, so you could take a look and if he is there, im sure she would give you advice and tell you his set up etc..

Maybe a pre digital camcorder would do the job as well (hi8 etc)
