Ian Mustarde

Postby petewick » Wed Oct 31, 2007 12:09 pm

Was thinking back about a mate I had a few years ago by the name of Ian Mustarde.
He used to come to Campbeltown on holiday and stayed with relations in the Fisher Row/Shore Street
area.
I think he was from somewhere in Wiltshire/Northhants, not sure.
We used to call him Cool Custard or Yellow B*****d.

Any body know him?

Pete,

I believe he now lives in or around Arrochar and works for the M.O.D. at Faslane.

In fact, a man you were speaking to in Carradale a few weeks back still keeps in touch with him.

Probably.

However, you must have caught him on a rare day as he's more likely to be the man that's usually asleep in his van.

I remember ian well as you used to play football with him along with your older brother Neil. In fact you were just a wee baby at that time

Ian Mustarde came to visit us 1 time when we lived in Saddell Street. That was a good number of years ago and it was also the last time that I saw him.

One of the usherettes we worked with in The Rex was Molly Mustard(e),this was her maiden name.

Her father was called Archie Mustard(e),he was a well known referee. He worked in the Argyll, and at one time was the caretaker for the town hall, living in the flat provided. They moved from there to a flat in Kirk Street, across from the top of Fisher Row.
