Bakbjerg Cup

Postby bakbjerg » Wed May 24, 2006 5:46 am

Hello to Kintyre,

we are a group of happy golfers packing our bags for a short holiday on Arran and Kintyre, and we are looking forward to this sunday, when we have tee times at Machrihanish.

Knowing Your area, we have made a little web-site about our trip, hoping to inspire other golf-tourists to come to lovely Kintyre, especially golfers from our own area. Check out at www.bakbjerg.com (there's a short version in English).

Kind regards
Søren

Your passing through the lovely village of Carradale on your travels, nice little 9 hole golf course here.

Hope the weather improves for you, pretty wet and blustery here this morning.

Thanks for Your kind answers. The weather report doesn't look much better than here at home, but ...

Bumped into a bunch of your neighbours from Sweden playing on the Carradale golf course today. Party of about eight who stayed in the Carradale Hotel last night and after today are heading for Dunaverty, Southend tomorrow. They stuck out the rain, hail and wind this morning to do a couple of rounds and really enjoyed it despite geeting soaked.

:D

Back home after 5 lovely days on Arran and Kintyre, I think I can say on behalf of all in the group:

Thank You all scottish people for your kindness. Special thanks to Ardell guest house and the Beachcomber in Machrihanish.

The only bad thing is, that from now the golf back here in Denmark is going to be a decreased experience. We all loved the greens of Shiskine, Dunaverty and Machrihanish.

Hope to be back soon. Carradale must be included then.
