Kintyre visit

Hello from Mae & Barrie in Nova Scotia Canada.
I have a special interest in visiting Scotland and especially Kintyre in October 2015.
My GGgrandfather Malcolm Wilkie aka. McQuilkan Married Jean Taylor in Skipness Parish in 1820. In 1827 Malcom with family members settled in Ontario.
I have been viewing various Kintyre web sites and over night accommodations appear plentiful. What is the mode(s) of transportation between Campbeltown & Glasgow and how frequent are the trips. On the Isle of Kintyre what type of charter is recommended.
Waiting for comments or suggestions
Bye now
Mae & Barrie

Hello Mae and Barrie. I`m not a resident of Kintyre, just a holidaymaker who loves the place to bits. I can`t give you details because we`ve always gone by car, but I do know that there are flights to Campbeltown from Glasgow, there`s also a bus, but I believe it takes around 4 hours for the journey, you`ll travel through some wonderful scenery though.
