Good evening from Ballarat AU . I am a new member to the forum my name is Norm McCallum, my forebears left Campbelltown in 1853 for the Gold rush at Ballarat Victoria. They were Archibald McCallum (B1827) & Euphemia McKerral (B1819) both born in Campbelltown. I will be visiting Campbelltown on the 4th September this year hoping to locate the burial site of Archibald's parents namely Neil McCallum born Campbelltown 1793 & Agnes Boyd born Southend 1797. It would be greatly appreciated to be pointed in the right direction to research the site. I Would also love to meet any one who might be related.

Hi Norm welcome to the forum, I cant help you out with any "info" but I am sure there are some members of the forum that might be able to point you in the right direction.
When you visit you could try the "Heritage Centre & Library", I have found both place's well worth a visit.
Hope you enjoy looking round the forum, it can be very interesting.

Hi Norm,
you need a local for info' about the Bowls Club, no doubt one or two members of the Bowls Club are on the Forum. I would be very surprised if you did not get a game as the people of Kintyre seem to "go the extra mile" to make visitors welcome and help out if possible.

lucky you, paying a visit to the "Wee Toon, I can't see myself or the family getting up there this year. I am sure you will enjoy your stay, one place that is always top of my list when we are up there is the Muneroy Tearoom at Southend, home cooking as it's best.
