Man Gets Bus Pass

Postby Kulana » Wed Jun 01, 2011 7:37 am

Mr Alexander David Forshaw will attain his 60th year on 19th July, 2011. If you see him in the street ask if he's applied for his bus pass!

Unfortunately Alex won't get his bus pass yet.

I am a few months ahead of him. I found that the issue of bus passes is being slowly phased to 65.

I will get mine about a week before my 61st birthday, so I guess that Alex won't be much different.

Please give him my regards, he is an ex near-neighbour and old school chum.

And you, Kulana, caused my first court appearance for a motoring offence (unless I am mistaken about your identity). But I forgive you, as I was admonished.

Sorry about the inaccuracy of the previous post.

It appears that the phasing of the bus pass age to 65 applies to England only.

Alex will get his pass on his 60th birthday, whilst I as an economic migrant will have to wait another year.

dunc99 - Who me? Admonished? You? I claim selective memory loss.
As I live in England, I had to wait two months for my bus pass after my 60th in May, 2010..
