Argyll Select v Scottish Amatuer League Select

This year's Joe Paterson Trophy Memorial Trophy match will take place at Kintyre Park, Campbeltown, on Saturday 6th June 2009, the game will have a 2.00 pm kick-off.
The Scottish League side will try to win its first ever victory at this venue, a fixture that has never been easy for the league select.

The annual fixture to commemorate the memory of late match secretary Joe Paterson, has been keenly contested over the years. There is very little seperating the respective teams and, both sides are looking forward to continuing their long-standing rivalry.

After a number of years absent from this fixture, the home side, Campbeltown Pupils AFC, would like to welcome the Scottish Amateur League Select and committee, plus our friends from the various Argyll clubs, to be our guests for the day. We wish everyone well and hope you will have a memorable day in our company.

The after match hospitality will take place at St John's 141 Club in St John Street. A buffet meal will be served by Argyll Bakeries Ltd.

SAFL website says the select game is cancelled as a mark of respect to Andy Wilson, as mentioned in another thread.

This tie has now been re-arranged.

The annual Joe Paterson Trophy will take place on Saturday 1st August at Kintyre Park Campbeltown. This re-arranged fixture will have a 2.30 kick-off.

The tie was postponed earlier in the year as a mark of respect for the late Andy Wilson.
