Saturday 17th May 2008.

Result: Campbeltown Pupils 0 St Josephs 1.

A day of disappointment for the Pupils who failed to clear the first hurdle in an extraordinary run-in to this year's league championship. Everything is still to play for now, as Moorcroft and St Josephs have added their names to the list of clubs chasing promotion to the Premier Division.

Quite remarkably, the Pupils have failed to score in their last two home fixtures, a lapse of form which may be crucial in the eventual league placings. The local favourites need to find their shooting boots in their last two fixtures against Rutherglen (Home - Saturday 24th May) and Dunoon(Away - Saturday 31st May)to give themselves a chance of promotion. The league championship is still a possibilty, although the matle of control has passed to Kilpatrick who neeed to defeat Dunoon away from home to claim top spot.

A revival of form is crucial to the Pupils promotion hopes - something which is certainly not beyond them.

Come-on lads, give it your best shot!
