Carradale AFC

Postby GarySutherland » Sun Jul 10, 2005 3:00 pm

Just a quick note to say that at a meeting yesterday it was decided to re-form Carradale AFC. More info in due course.

Meanwhile there's a cracking photo of an earlier team in the photo gallery section here. I printed off a copy and showed it to Nonnie earlier. He reckons it's from about 1985.

Cheers

That'll be you in the team of '85 then, yes?

Were you in The Glen the other evening?

The Crofters 1985 photo

I may well have been in the '85 team but don't recall the photo. If I'm there I will be wearing a different colour from the rest of the team and be dark rather than light haired.
I haven't been up to Trumpton for about 3 years since my work locarions were changed.

hey little red rooster,
you'd better watch what your saying about bottling it old man, you'd be safer up at the caravan with the big cat as running about wellpark with some of the animals that still roam the pitch up here
why dont you give nonnie a phone as the game has been mentioned also the sevens were mentioned but the mafia sorry the chiefs were'nt sure of the interest
well look out your extra thick shin pads old man and and give him a phone and we'll see if we can fit you in

Does anyone know who Carradale are playing on Wednesday evening?

Frogman - the idea of the sevens would be excellent. There certainly would be enough interest!

Frogman,

From the Kintyre Amateur Football League there is definite interest of 7 teams!

Try and get up tonight and see Nonnie etc about this.

Football Results

Postby GarySutherland » Thu Jul 28, 2005 7:31 pm

Well, Carradale AFC played it's first match last night after reforming.

They were playing Campbeltown G.S. and went down 4-2, which isn't at all a bad result for their first match. Carradale's goals came from Jamie Robertson and Ranald Rixon.

There was a post-match critique in The Glen Bar afterwards and no doubt the coach had a few things to say, despite his sore throat.

If anything Carradale's performance improved in the second half of the match as the team continued to gel, and things are looking good for the next match.

Cheers
