Yeah it was a brilliant strike. Looked not bad but I'm sure there's better things to come. Heard from an insider source that half the team was injured though ;).

Yes, several players had taken a few knocks during practise.

Davy, if I could blag a couple of good photos from you I'd like to put them on the Carradale website.

Cheers

I have posted some photos from the other night:-

http://www.campbeltown.info/News/carradaleafc.htm

Not that good but ach weeelll - I need to be a bit more brash with my camera!

Regarding the game - it was good to see a few old faces on the football pitch again and more importantly some young faces!

Special mention to Charlie McMillan for his outstanding contribution to the game - all 90 seconds of it! Stan, Scott Goslin and Tyson (he is on the board). Young Ranald showed some nice touches as did some young fla called Travis (not a Carradale name for sure!)! Jamie Robertson came on for Scott and scored a very good goal.

Never got to see the whole game but all in all it was excellent to see the Dale in action again. Well done to all the boys , Nonnie and Lachie for getting it all together again!

Maybe see you in the Glen tomorrow..

Don't forget today is the first home match of the all new Carradale AFC, aka Nonnie's All-Stars! :)

They're playing Southend AFC at the Wellpark field and kick-off is 2:15pm.

Cheers

Carradale 4 - Southend 2

Postby GarySutherland » Sat Aug 06, 2005 4:13 pm

Wahey! Carradale AFC beat Southend AFC by 4 goals to 2 at home this afternoon in what was at times a hard-fought match.

I think it fair to say that Carradale had the most shots at goal although Southend didn't let up at all. At one point they brought the score back to a nail-biting 3-2 until Carradale hammered home their final goal.

Some photos from the match are available on the Carradale Goat website.

Cheers
