Tartan Army 11 asides

Postby Ship called Dignity » Wed Feb 02, 2005 11:08 pm

Tartan Army 11 a-sides Draw

4 Prelims ties

Prestonpans v Perth TA
Highland TA v EASTA
Rampant Lions v Angus Battalion
Kirkcaldy TA v John Warden TA

These ties to be played on or before 27th February
Quarters

Prestonpans/Perth v WESTA
Bonnybrig v Highland TA/EASTA
Rampant Lions/Angus v Tartan Army Messageboard
Campbeltown v Kirkcaldy TA/John WardenTA

These ties to be played in March

So we have a home tie! Excellent! Who is playing? Dott and Renton are you managers again? Obviously with the Italy game at the end of March I would suspect we will try to get the game played early March.

Think the Seven Asides are in Edinburgh this year in June - you'll be glad to know I may be doubtful but perhaps you can get someone else to miss the penalties for you!!!!

PS - Anyone wanting two flights to Italy for the Scotland game at 100 quid each? Don't think I am going now so the flights are up for sale..

Tartan Army 11 a-sides Draw

Postby Ship called Dignity » Sat Feb 05, 2005 12:21 am

Aye young Dott does looking as if he is regaining his fitness - he'll perhaps get his 3rd sub place back this year.

Bring on the Kirkcaldy boys! Probable date is 20th March - the Sunday before the Italy - Scotland game so will be good to get a get together!

Rab McD said he would play this time. Average age is certainly creeping up - perhaps we should bin Baldy as he is turning 50 in December!

C'mon the CTA!

Semi Finals and Final

Postby Ship called Dignity » Thu Feb 24, 2005 11:15 pm

Lads the draw has been made for the above too and this looks good for us if we can win the quarters!

Draw for the Semi Finals of Tennents Tartan Army Cup;

Rampant Lions/ABTA/TAMB Vs Preston Pans/Perth/WESTA
Campbeltown/KTA/JWTA Vs BonnyBrig/Highland/EASTA

Ties to be played on Sunday 17th April (can be moved to 23rd April if BOTH
teams agree).

The final of the Tennents TA Cup will be played at Ochilview
(Stenhousemuir's Ground) on Sunday 8th May 2005.
(Thanks to Bill Leckie for arranging this!)

:o  8)

The quarter final will be played on 3rd April 2005 so luckily enough IF we win we will be at home a fortnight later.

Final will be 8th May 2005 - 2nd time luck lads!

BTW - Big Sparra said he will play in the goal!!! Rab McD said he would play. Steven/Dougie can we look at getting the squad together, only a month away!

I want to retire at the top!

Fixtures

Doogs/Stephen

Are we definitely playing a friendly on the 27th March 2005?

The following week will be the game - need to book park and referee. I assume we will be able to get the changing rooms seeing we donated £1000 last year!

If we win we are at home a fortnight later....

Kirkcaldy won on Saturday so a revenge mission for last year's final is on the cards.

One of their guys is on the TAMB looking for our manager or chairman (Steven/Dougie/Davie) to contact him about the 1/4 final a.s.a.p by the way :?:

Sun 3rd April 2005

Postby Ship called Dignity » Wed Mar 16, 2005 7:45 pm

Lads,

We are due to play Kirkcaldy on Sun 3rd April 2005 in Campbeltown. Details to follow from Dougie and Steven.

A warm up match will be played against the Under 19th the week before.

If we win on the 3rd we will be at home on the 17th but that is an IF...

I've e-mailed the council about the pitchs. Need a ref and changing rooms.
