Despite the presence of two Scottish internationalists, Stronvaar pulled of a memorable win that will last in the Club's memory for a long time. It looked as though the writing was on the wall when, in the singles, John McLean was 9 - 3 down but the wee man recovered superbly to record a great win against his international opponent. A tied game in the pairs featuring Jimmy Anderson and Archie Johnston left the home club needing one win from John McCormick's rink and Steven Dickson's triple that saw Steven bring home the bacon and the Wee Toon celebrating yet another victory.
The travelling support from Denny was amazing and Stronvaar hopes that the provision of a free bus will give the boys a good backing in Clackmannan.
Stronvaar now travels to Clackmannan for the next round and must be in good heart after today's result.
