The Campbeltown Open was concluded today in fine conditions, although a stiff breeze made scoring difficult. George McMillan won the event with an excellent score of 150, which was one better than David McLean. Last year's champion Kevin Brunton finished 3rd and Bobby Willan was 4th. The handicap section was won by Kevin Brown. The ladies festivities concluded with the Colin Chrystie quaich, which was won by Ann Gallacher. The winner of the gents quaich was Lee Mathieson.
We would like to thank our friends at CS Wind for generously agreeing to sponsor this event. Mr YC Kim from CS Wind is pictured below presenting the trophy to an understandably delighted winner.
Our thanks also go to: McFadyens Contractors for sponsoring the main trophies, to Glen Scotia and Springbank distilleries for providing some really good nearest the pin prizes and to all the staff and volunteers who gave of their time to make this a successful event. Lastly, thanks to all the competitors who took part, we hope to see you all again next year!
