Fifty nine primary school kid members of Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association enjoyed a vist to Lochgilphead yesterday as part of an organised visit to take part in 4 and 7 aside games against their neighbours in Mid Argyll. Children from Primary 2 to 7 played similar age groups during an afternoon with top class organisation provided by Lochgilphead Soccer Centre. The children's behaviour from the moment they left Campbeltown to returning could not be faulted and they were a credit to themselves, their families and CDJFA. A return visit to Campbeltown has now been arranged for the 2nd June 2012.
Thanks to the various football coaches and parents who helped organise the 8 teams - much appreciated. Special thanks to Steven Dott, Iain Reid and Mandy Robertson for driving the mini buses yesterday and the various parents who transported their children to Lochgilphead. Thanks to Gary Anderson and Alan Glendinning for organising the strips - the children took every bit of pride in sporting their team colours and was a great sight to see. Finally to Willie Renton, who couldn't be there, but supported the trip and coaches as always.
