Indoor football comes to an end as focus turns to the outdoor season

Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association’s indoor season wound up last Wednesday (28th March 2012) as the group now turns their focus to the outdoor season which will start after the Easter holidays.

Over 22 weeks, over 50 children of Primary School age turned up every Wednesday night to play football in the Victoria Hall along with their respective age group coaches. The P1 to P3 session would particularly like to thank young Stuart McBrayne and Ross Colville who turned up each week to help out – very much appreciated.

Outdoor football will commence on Monday 16th April 2012 on the Meadows Millennium Playing Field. Primary 1 to 7 age groups will start at 6pm for 1 hour with secondary school (S1-S4 (new S5)) starting 30 minutes later and finishing at 8pm. The focus of the Monday night sessions are purely to play football with 4 aside and 7 aside games organised. The Association wish to encourage anyone in these age groups with an interest in playing football in Kintyre to come along and take part.

The Soccer Centre will also start the same week on Friday 20th April and targets football basics and skills development for Primary 1 to Secondary 2 (new S3). Further details on the outdoor sessions will appear shortly ahead of the start of the season.
