Are there any beach or coastal walks around Kintyre?If anyone knows of any,please post at your earliest convenience.Cheers!

You can do walks virtually anywhere round the peninsula where you can get easy access to the coast. There is a variety of beach, rocky shore and cliff in some places.

Take your pick.

Do you have any particular type of walk in mind?

Emdee,I am staying in a cottage at Grogport in September.Ideally I would like to plan walks from there,and stick to the shoreline primarily.

A good beach walk is from Carradale to Grogport and back!! There are bits of the walk where
it's necessary to do a bit of scrambling over rocks. You go along a part of "The Shore Walk"which
is the Longest of the Forest Walks .The path on that part is quite well defined. You never know,
Chuckiebay might be in, and you could be invited in for a welcome cup of tea, or some other wee
Refreshment
The walk along the shore from the Big Bay to the Point is fairly short, but glorious views are to be
seen, once you climb up to the site of the vitreous fort.

A good OS map will not go amiss - to plan in advance, if not use on the trip. It will let you see how much cliff and rock you are going to encounter, and where burns (rivers) need to be crossed.

And maybe save the local coastguard team a trip to rescue some lots souls

You could ask the locals in the specific area for a tour, would get them out for a bit of execise .
