Thanks for the kind comments about the pics, it's appreciated.

Could it not be a seal with just one eye closed LR, as opposed to having a full blown snoring session :D
I have to admit that I can't quite make out the seal shape, but I'm getting on a bit now, and the old eyes are dimming quite a bit!

Don't know the the Garlic name of the location I got the photo of the burn Crowth :? Best to just say its that wee burn up where the picnic table is. I got soaked to the knees while getting one or two others that same day as I hadn't thought to bring my wellies. Unlike you surfing dudes that pack the wellies to stand in the sea at Muasdale :D

Just a Nokia phone one Ninja :D

I have heard it said however, that the Sony Ericson ones are better :D

OK, you're right! It is still the old wind up one that runs on the carbon they used to put in Miners Helmet Lamps :(

If it was a burn by a small white cottage, then it would have been Grogport Cottage.

No its not that one LR. I think they call the area it is situated in Oak Wood Walk. The picnic table is off road ( a 4X4 picnic table?) and there is a bridge just short of it. Or is that just a short bridge?
I'm a local, and don't know the name

Everybody heard about you getting lost Crowth
I was told it was on Scotland Today 2 or 3 days later.

That is the very place I was at. Well not right at the sign, but close :D

Yes, it was also featured in the Yorkshire Evening Post under the headline 'Leeds man lost in the wilds of Scotland, fears for his wallet grow'.

Well, today I finally made it up into the forest around Beinn Ghuilean. Mostly thanks to the advice and directions of SCD :D

Here's a couple of shots I took along the way................
