Went for a stroll around the hill nearby the other evening, saw Roe Deer dashing off into the bracken to hide, then spotted the "look out"

I'd completely forgotten that I'd taken this until I came across it tonight whilst looking for something on a hard drive. Taken at Feochaig last May.

I couldn't work out whether it was mating or fighting :?

Probably because I've been married for so long, I can no longer tell the difference between them!

It seemed to be two Pheasant cocks competing for the attentions of some girlie. It went on for a long time and got very nasty, I didn't hang around for the end. As I was leaving it was still anybodys fight.
