Davaar Lighthouse

Postby Beachcomber » Thu Mar 22, 2007 5:57 pm

A couple of shots of the Davaar lighthouse taken today.

This second shot is cropped from the one above. Anyone recognise the gent in the blue top, working by the light?

These were taken from the layby just north of Campbeltown with my Panasonic FZ50.

Wow, that has a great clear zoom on it. I really wish I had been able to go to that island when I was there.

Oh, woops.. guess I should have read between the lines.. or pictures in this case, before I posted. Still very clear. How many pixels on that camera?

Maximum resolution is 10 mega-pixels, and it has the 35mm equivalent of a 35-420mm zoom lens (12x). It's a brilliant camera - thoroughly recommended to anyone that doesn't want to lug around an SLR yet wants more than a pocket digital.

The second picture is cropped from the full-size original, not enlarged, whereas the first shot is reduced.

Beachy boy, I thought an SLR, was a Self Loading Rifle, which shoots bullets and not pictures.

You're showing your age there a bit, PP. The good old SLR was a 'proper gun'.
