Mod8 is a moderator on this forum and moderates according to the forum rules and AUP. Moderators are volunteers and do their best to keep things from getting out of hand when threads or posts become heated. If anyone has a problem with a moderator then discuss it with them by private message NOT on the open forum. And remember, anyone not happy with the way the forum is run does not need to use it.

Loved the photos of the frigates. Gawsh is it 40 years ago we used to wait for the ships and the subs to come into the harbour for the sailors to come to the local dance on Saturday night? Or special treat, the airmen from the base? How many of us girls ended up with a nice wee sailor? hehe

Great photos JD - I was out a walk along Shore Road last night and it was still pretty windy/stormy then. I took some photos and put them up on my Facebook, but they're pretty rubbish quality as only had my I-Pod to hand
