Just realising it will get a bit busy if all the photos are posted on their own individual threads so post your photos from around Campbeltown here..

This was one I took a few weeks back and one I liked with the various shades etc

Hi guys :D

Those are great! So much so in fact that I have put a link towards this page on the

Campbeltown page of trivago.

That page is being slowly built up by our members, but if you want to help, you are very welcome. I am currently busy writing a travel guide for Campbeltown for the same site. I am writing it in French, but I might pop in here regularly to ask for information from all of you.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you all. I am very glad the wee toon is as beautiful as my memories say it is.

Here is one from yesterday. Above Campbeltown and Crosshill Loch looking down to Davaar Island and the entrance of Campbeltown Loch with Arran and the Ayrshire Coast in the distance. I decided to go up early yesterday morning and as I walked up the track the sun was rising from south east of Kintyre. It was as if there was a fire - you can see the redness of it on Davaar Island too. Didn't catch as well as I would have liked to (you never do) but here is one photo I have.

so it is, SCD :D
somehow I missed this one when I was strolling thru the KF last night....very nice!

I'm in agreement with numberplease (posted somewhere in photos section) that the quality of personal/'amateur' photos shared in here are really quite amazing! hardly seem amateur to me! love that you locals take random & frequent photos from around the area & share them....that even tho you live there, you still seem to have a great appreciation for what you have right outside your front door. please keep them coming!

There is so much to see, that changes all the time that your appreciation grows all the time. You could not have found a happier man on Saturday morning and reminded myself of why I made the right decision 12 years ago moving back home after a brief spell away. 8)

Really hoping 2010 can see alot more people posting photos and sharing stories and news. That is what it was all started for.

Not the greatest of photos but I liked seeing the harbour busy and couldn't but help but think what these poor Filipinos thought of the snow. :D
