For the 10k...55min.
For the half...1hr 58.
Not sure which one to do just yet.
It depends on the amount of alcohol consumed at our class reunion the night before.

I'm really looking forward to taking part this year after being a steward last year. Brilliant atmosphere about the town.

Was aiming to run it when I applied and trained for it until a month or so ago and everything went to pot for one reason or another so will be walking it this year and will just be glad to say i've done a 10k and aim to better that time next year!!

Bring on the ceilidh at night!!

Okay, last year it took me 2 days,3 nights and a long weekend to get round in 1:46,so this year l hope to crack it in just the 2 days, 1:35 or close. There you go "Sport".

Pb days are long gone but the enjoyment is very much still there.

With zero preparation due to injuries/poor health I'll be lucky to make the starting line! Haven't been able to prepare but hope to struggle round in under two hours.

Looking forward to my first 10k and like others preparation hasn't went as well as it should have. However if I get round in 60 minutes I'll be happy. Like others, really just happy to be taking part. Looking forward to the whole weekend especially the race and Ceilidh. 8)

Hi all if everyone remembers its taking part that counts keeping healthy and active at the end of the day the time you get round in doesn't really matter on the grand scale of things. Always a great wk end.
Enjoy everyone.

Tried my first run for 3 and a half months today. Decided to grab the bull by the horns, and did 11 miles. Bit of a struggle, second half right into the wind, but no adverse effects--yet! Instead of worrying about 13 next week, I now only have to worry about the last 2, but I'm now sure that I can complete it--maybe even a wee bit quicker than I had originally anticipated. :D

i too will be happy just to finish the 13 miles, however after pretending to train for it this year for the last 3 months, rab's comments about virtually just turning up on the day sounds like a plan for next year.
i would settle for 1hr 44m and being able to enjoy a danish pastry after..
