Anyone doing any of these? A 5k might be an enjoyable training day/change?

I sent my entry form off for the 5k and 10k yesterday ..... don't feel particularly keen to do the half marathon at the moment, I'll see how I feel nearer the time

I haven't done a 5k before so thought it would be good to try one ...... a guaranteed PB :)

Haven't done a 5k myself so think I will go for it too . Definitely going to do the 10k ......would have tried the half but from what others have said its not a good one for a PB so will give it a miss . I did say I would never do another after the MOK but I have changed my mind  and will try another one to see if I can get the time I was aiming for at the MOK. :wink

I'm going to the Paisley 10k on Sunday...10.00 am start so will need to be away from here before 5.00.

Why on earth does the Oban 10k have no on the day entries? they managed OK last year to have 10k and half marathon folks enter on the day.....and, why have the races 3 weeks apart now?

I will miss the Oban half marathon for the first time in a decade this year. Did not enjoy the route last year and the earlier date 21st Sept, does not suit me either.......I'm sure I wont be missed  but I cant help feeling they have tinkered with the format and set up and course for no good reason and what was a great day will have suffered as a result....but, hoot do I know?

Thanks Pans Lass and fiona28 :) I'm really looking forward to the 10k in Oban tomorrow ....... just hope the new route is flat  I don't normally run the day before a race but when I woke up this morning I just had to go out for a very easy 2 mile run  I felt the better of it although as my legs were a bit stiff after my cycle on Thursday night.

Have a good race in Paisley 4th gen :)
