PRE MOKRUN 2008 WARM UP RACE

Postby rabidcabbage » Thu Sep 27, 2007 8:08 pm

Would anyone out there be interested in a running event taking place on a flat course, longer than 10K but under 1/2 marathon distance in Mid Argyll during the earlier part of May 2008. It will be a Sunday event and could be used as the long weekend run for those 10K' ers and a sprint for those at 1/2 marathon standard.

Just started talking about this today and will need to confirm date.

Any thoughts would be welcomed. :D

Sounds a great idea rabidcabbage :D

It's always good to get some racing experience prior to the main event, particularly if it's fairly local!

So, I would be interested in taking part :)

count me in too, we are hoping to have a group from jogscotland doing their first 1/2 in may 2008, so this would be a good tester/taster for them. as long as there was an adequate recovery time in between for beginners - sounds perfect :D

I spoke to the event organiser today. His co-pilot is on holiday but once they are back together a date April/May time will be released. I believe there will be at least a two week gap between Mid Argyll race and MOK races, so sufficient recovery/training/tapering. I will post more info when I'm authorised to release it. (Its not top secret but its not my event). BUT ITS SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
