I would be more than pleased to go running with theP or Ninja Mania....95% of my running is on my own.....although, I had a very enjoyable 6 miler with John Barbour, in the pouring rain, last Tuesday night.

Not sure if I will be able to run either race if the event is in early MAy though :(

Sprint finish.... a wee glance to the side from us both!! it was a dead heat.....I think!

Glad to hear there's going to be another 10k/half marathon. It was a brill weekend from start to finish, and I don't mean just the race! It certainly brought a lot of good publicity for the town. :D

Myself and a few others, are training to run a 10k in 3 weeks time in Glasgow. Not sure how will get on as there's been lack of training over the summer, between holidays and things (any excuse)

No i'm really looking forward to it, and if it hadn't been for the Kintyre race being organised this year I don't think i would have ever done this running thing, it's been a great push for me to get into shape. Cheers to organisers :D

End of May is a fine time to organise it for, think they'll be even more people of on the Monday.

and amron please give me a phone, come out with us running its more for a chat usually anyway!!!

Thanks Moyster

I have registered on Runners World and I see that you can register online for the Half Marathon and the 10K.
There is also a junior run. Don't know the details yet of that.

I take it then that the 6th May has been confirmed is that correct?

There has been a very positive response from members on the RW site.

Moyster good luck for you all in Glasgow might manage it next year :D

Great News!

So glad that the Mokrun will be happening over the May holiday weekend next year! There will definitely be representatives from Point Sands Caravan Site, Tayinloan and hopefully our numbers will increase from two! I will be there this weekend so will start recruiting.
Maybe I can post a flyer in the shop there so folk can start preparing themselves?? :o

Just wanted to check re dates for both races. Runners World website is showing Sunday 27th May for the half marathon but Sunday 6th May for the 10k.

I take it these should both be shown as on the 27th May?

Is your entry limit 500 for each race or 500 overall?

Hoping to round up some more of my Glasgow based running colleagues for you this year. They all loved the medal!!

Hi Mags,

Well spotted - I can confirm both races will be on Sunday 27 May 2007.

In terms of limits on numbers, the 500 limit is the total for both races. We'll review this nearer the time if it looks like we might get close to it - but we will definitely not be taking entries on the day, and will close entries on the Friday 11 May 2007.

Cheers
Tom

Race Entry Acknowledgements

Postby Tarbert Mags » Thu Feb 08, 2007 2:41 pm

A few of my friends who have entered the 10k or the half were wondering if they would receive a confirmation that they have registered - you know how the Royal Mail is these days. Some races send out the numbers in advance, but I presume that you will not be writing out to everyone before the race, therefore would it be possible to perhaps have a list online to show the names of those whose entries have been accepted?

See link below for an example of a race which does this - it just gives you the confidence that your entry details have been received.

Let me know what you think.
