At 100 places going each day, at this rate the Run will be full by Thursday night!

By the way, I remember talking to the reporter from Runner's World at the Run earlier this year. Did his article ever appear? And if so, could - what I imagine was - a glowing report from him be influencing this rush for places?

To a certain degree I hope the locals don't enter for the sake of entering and spoiling the chances of genuine runners, especially thos who want to come from away. What was the percentage of people who didn't run local last year?

I have to disagree with you Ultraviolet, the locals will always be there no matter what, supporting their local run , will the people beyond always be there,( most likely).

Just like any race if one wants to get in, then like all of us, the early bird gets the worm, that's how popular races fill up.

DJD, you missed my point. Yes, the locals will always be there no matter what and that is great but some people enter and then make no attempt what so ever to be there on the day whilst genuine runners are turned away. I even heard of some local people entering just to secure tickets to the Ceilidh! Surely it is better for the town and the races themselves if people who enter are genuinely wanting to run? Wonderful event for Kintyre.

Ultraviolet, well if that's the case, then that is hard to combat against and I'm sure it will be a very small number and also an expensive way to get a Ceilidh ticket.

Yes I see your point, but that sort of thing I have yet ever to witness.Like you said in your comment, it is wrong and a good point to be aired.
