Hi

Myself and 5 others are coming up to Scotland from Birmingham, with 3 of us running. Really looking forward to it!! :-) Not even been to Scotland before. Does anyone know when we get any more info and the numbers for our tops etc as had an email confirmation of all 3 entries in November but heard nothing since. Just wondering. Also, We have got 3 tickets for the after event but the other 3 friends (non runners) don't have as couldn't get a ticket for non runners online :( Is this going to be a problem or is it possible to get tickets for a few extras on the afternoon? We'll have to miss it if we can't which is a shame :(
We have hired a cottage for the week from Sat-Sat so if anyone has any ideas of places to see Sun - Wed, locally ,that doesn't invovlve tooo much walking as we probably won't be able to walk after the run :-) We have cars between us and sucker for beautiful scenery so in the right place we think!
Very excited as great reviews! x

Hi MG 77,
someone will get back to ref your question on everthing ie numbers, Ceilidh tickets, whats happening etc, (the bib numbers are usually sent out 2weeks prior to the race, also on what to do and see.

Can i ask what your thoughts on this. We intend to have a 3mile very easy run along the beach section (stunning scenery) for as a kind of friendly fun run for people that are traveling from a far, that might need a little pre run before the actual race.It will be on the Saturday in the mid morning, from Westport over to Machrihanish ,you will be bused to and from the area's,be replenised with a drink and snack and of course you could even have a dip or wade in the sea for the legs after the run.

Would you and your friends be up for something like this if it was organised?

Thanks
DJD

Looks like Mokrun just gets bigger and more successful every year-congratulations to all concerned.I ran the 10k the last three years and my husband Jim and I considered the Mokrun weekend one of the highlights of our year- especiallylast year when I wasw given a bottleof whisky for being the oldest female runner!.Sadly Jim passed away in Decemberafter a stroke so there will be no more trips to Campbeltown- but I have some wonderful memories. Iam not able to run at the moment due to failing eyesight , waiting for a cataract op, but I am doing a lot of walking and will be taking part in a charity canal walk organised by the Rotary Club og Cumbernauld-walking 16 miles of the Forth and Clyde Canal from Twechar to Grangemouth on Sunday May 1st,exactly a month before my 79 th birthday!,I am hoping to raise some much needed cash for Chest, Heart
and Stroke Scotland in Jim's memory, so would be grateful for any donations to

Best wishes to you all.

Hello Joan

I was the clock car driver last year and the previous 2 years and hoping to have the opportunity this year again. Me and my photographic pasengers took many pics on the day.

I hope I am not mistaken but are you the grand lady in this photo receiving your bottle of whisky which was well deserved and i hope your late husband enjoyed a wee dram from it  .If I find some more pics i'll get back to you and arrange sending on.

Regards and best wishes on your forthcoming event.

Oh Joan

So sorry to hear about your hubby and sorry for the lateness of my reply, not on here as often as I used to be. I ran a wee chunk of the 10k with you last year. You will be missed this year as you are quite the regular visitor to the mok "nearly a local". If my memory serves me right we had a blether in the Great Glasgow run last year or is it the one before!! Memory is not so good. Either way will miss the blether this year, look after yourself and like pans lass if i am putting on the style like you are when I reach your glam age then i will be happy xxx

Once you get you eyes fixed give us a shout for next year and surely someone will be passing your way and can get you an escort to The Wee Toon for the MOK Run. :D
Dance like no-one is watching....
