Moss road is right, must have been thinking of the Moy farm or something like that....well thats my excuse and I am sticking to it !!

Apparently John Fleming, noted comedy writer (won't be contributing to this forum then!!!!) was born in the Toon.

He seems to have done a lot of recognisible work.

Was Flemings land named after him?

Flemings Land was named after one of Nelson's (not the Archers Nelson!)
Occefers. I dont think he was actually at the battle of Trafalgar.Certainly his name is not on the Muster List for it.

However there was a guy called Hutchinson I think actually at the battle so I'm told.He was from here....so there...

Famous Campbeltonians. More recently

Lorne Cousin who was the Piper on Madonna's World tour. I spoke to him in the summer and he was saying it was an amazing experience.
