I know my Summer'll never come
I know I'll cry until my dying day has come
Let the Winter roll along
I've got nothing left but song

Nice bit of nostalgia. I wonder how many of the forum members were there that day. :?:

I was at the opening of the harbour. We got a half day from the Grammar and sang"Eternal Father strong to save". He had need to as one of the men who had worked on the pier fell in and he and his bottle had to be pulled out. This though was in 1959 so perhaps this was a later celebration of some kind.
