have a wee word with your man indoors, i recall an excursion from our store on the new quay to the trampolines one night after much imbibing and assorted other mind altering substances and as well as a future doctor from stewerton, various others old enough to know better, there was a young fresh faced lad from muesdale in attendance.

wonder if he remembers?

i know one closer than you think, during a night of carousing in our store on the quay, myself, brothers two, the "good doctor" and various other likely suspects, one of which was a young fresh faced country boy, who used to get "panned" for his nickname

Don't you love farce?
My fault I fear.
I thought that you'd want what I want.
Sorry, my dear.
But where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns.
Don't bother, they're here.

Come on now Mr Strap, Linda has to post something somewhere. I think the 5 & 1 words per posting thread must be closed.

thats right, schwings, misses, keep on track, roon and roon the paddling pool on your bike , don't try going thru it or you'll fall off into three inches of water,

one of the first things i taught my son was how to go as high as possible on the swings and then jump off, see who could land furthest from the swings on both feet.

getting the weans dizzy on the roundabout, great fun

that on topic enough for you?

you forgot the crazy golf general
and running up the hill at the back of the swings and reappearing at the fence

you know I actually was witness to Campbeltown Brass ACTUALLY playing in the 'bandstand' at the paddling pool! a rarity I believe!!

i remember chris blair playing in the bandstand? can't remember what the occasion was or who the rest of the band were, or if they actually played in the bandstand or just at the paddling pool, we used to do acoustic sets in the bandstand of a saturday afternoon, i remember a guy called paul masson used to accompany us, white or rose', i can't remember, but i even have photos, which seem to depict a lot of handrolled cigarettes being smoked? must have been saving money by rolling our own, one of those false economys.

fell off many a swing on that hill at the back, used to slide down on plastic fishboxes recovered from the shore in front
