i remember going to girvan to collect the jasmine on the "girl zena"

i remember schmout in his bay city rollers jumper making bovril on the way home

i remember mending the net while sweltered held it, "keep a wee strain on it!!!"

i remember the granda teaching me golf on tangy shore

i remember auntie jeanies shortbread, and pancakes just for shep

i remember faither, big neil campbell and uncle dan, playing fitba doon milldam

i remember cecil and billy playing guitar every new year

i remember the name of next doors cat at No.44 calton

i remember their wee sweetie shop up besides patersons

i remember the day sweltered got lost in blackpool

i remember "jock and joe"

i remember clearing the newquay store and painting the walls

i remember carradale, march 10th 1978

i remember commander ward not finding me up a mast painting when i should have been in school

i remember giving frook the finger the day i left the school

i remember the flat McCallum st, every weekend, playing the fool

i remember ugadale and the summer of 72

i remember sweltered dancin on the table singing "arrations"

i remember the "glensides" breaking into the shed to steal our tyres

i remember getting chased by "the rat" as i pushed a "tractor" for our fire

i remember huntin for old golf balls in the field when it had been ploughed

I remember when Southend Coastguard Station was fully manned and operational, dozens of families over the years contributed greatly to live in Southend

I remember when Southend Coastguard girl Nicola Webb travelled in to the school every day on the bus.

I remember when she went away.

I met her again tonight after 30+ years!

the important thing is that oor weans remember it as well

By jove he was good! he could have you running 5 yards to the left while he send the ball, or himself, to the right...just with a look or shimmy.........makes yi wunner why he did not make it to the very top...how good do you need to be? there were one or two others as well...slightly older and slightly younger! the two I am thinking of, Duncan and Robbie left footers as well......must be something in that!

Anyway, I remember how strong, competitive and TOUGH the KAFL was from about 1977 to 1983. After that it was gone and never hit the same heights again. One or two wee revivals but, for me anyway, these 5 or 6 years were of the golden variety...

I remember 3 and in that wasn't that overly long ago! And It was maybe just under 20 years ago! :roll:
