The National Library of Scotland has great maps from 1670 onwards of Kintyre and Campbeltown..really beautiful and in colour showing lots of old townships and landmarks many long lost from Ordanance maps nowadays.
They can be ordered on line and are very cheap (honestly)They can also be zoomed" everyway" on line also but in colour they are smashing framed. They take less than a week to arrive with Invoice.(they even trust you!!).Simply go to map section and stick in Campbeltown or Kintyre . They also show Dounaverdich and not a Southend in sight....
