My mother went to school from the first one, farm road at least a mile and rough!
Shennachie is one mile North of here, pretty isolated but only a 200 yard farm road.....goes through a burn mind you....one of the very few farmhouses in Southend I have never been in....have worked many hours in the attached sheep fanks though.
It looks fantastic inside......the new owner will drive right past here to get to Southend.

We were interested in the farm house (1st photo). So one day I went to have a look at it and got bogged, I had to turn and come back without actually getting to see the place.
If the road i went on which runs through the fields, is the only access to it, then I would not even consider it.
The only way through on a wet day like the one I went on, would be with a hovercraft.
Im sure 4th Gen could tell you more about it.
