Does anyone remember this address? Can anyone recall what Well Close was like in the 30s, 40s and 50s? What kind of demolition might have occurred during those decades? I think my grandmother lived in or near Well Close until her death in 1963 and I would like to know more about the place.

Was that at the top of the Well Close?
My Dad cut off the gas at that property before it was demolished.

Hi Petewick.

Thanks for replying. It would have been at the top of Well Close. Do you have any recollection of it yourself? Do you remember anything your Dad said about it? My family occupied that property long, long ago. I used to walk up Glebe Street to Millknowe School (1965-1969/70?) and probably passed it on the way but I don't know when it was demolished.

It must have been around 1972 it was demolished, I would have been 3 years old,
I never knew it existed until a former work colleague of my dad's told me about the
day they cut off the gas.

This house has actually reminded me of one place in Greece, I used to live there as a kid and remember little but this house in Athens is still pictured in my head.
