Kelp Village Barfad

I have been told that, in the past, there was a kelp village on the shore on Barfad Farm (just south of the stream, within the alder wood). When the industry was no longer profitable the village was dismantled and the stone from the houses used to construct all the beautiful walls round about. I have checked out all the maps but there is no sign of it. Does anyone know anything about this or might anyone be able to point me to a record of it somewhere. I'm keen to learn the history.
