Mmm...interesting stuff. Notice there was a Union Bank Of Scotland listed in "Slaters 1911 directory" on Main St., and at that time Mactaggarts were the agents for the Commercial Bank, in the County Buildings, Main St.(their premises in Castle Hill has 1931 set in the stone above the entrance). The plot thickens.
