Old sayings

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether these are old C'town sayings:

"Ah come snorlin' ower the Dhorlin wi' the pipe cley up the lum".

"When the cruban lea's the mussell ebb, we'll ca' the yows fae the knowes".
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
