Terfergus Farm

Postby Mturnart » Wed Mar 23, 2011 5:38 pm

Can anyone tell me about the family or families who owned High Terfergus Farm andd Low Terfergus Farm in Machrihanish. My Great Grandparents and father used to visit one or other of them prior to WW11. It was through the people in that farm that my parents met. My mothers family; bothe sides have been in the Campbeltown area since the 17th century. In some way or other there is a connection with James McNeill who used to be the Headmaster of Drumlemble School and his daughters. I know that Betty and Hamish his son both died fairly recently.
My fathers parents were Margaret and George Kerr and they used to travel from Glasgow and visit the family in the farm along with my father James.

Many thanks. :P :D
