My trip to Argyle, Illinois USA!

Postby cgms310 » Tue Jun 01, 2010 4:58 pm

I recently purchased a first edition copy of a book called "The Argyle Settlement in History and Story" by Daniel G. Harvey (1924)

Within just a few pages, I discovered a town called Argyle, Illinois located about one hour north from my new home.

I drove there just yesterday and took the following pictures.

The last picture is a stain glass window dedication to a Jessie McDonald Greenlee (sorry, no dates). I am sure there is a relative on here somewhere!

Regards,

Charles.
