Yes you are...wrong, at least in your assessment regarding both on Immigration and the Welfare State.
As you can see I've taken the liberty to quote your manifesto below, I apologise in advance to any reader who may suffer from a sensitive disposition. ( Once is enough )

1. So Immigration is to blame for our current circumstances ?
2. Send every illegal Immigrant back to where ? You poor man, you can't recognise or extend the hand of friendship to fellow human beings in trouble.
3. So would you stop unemployment benefit, the Old Age pension ? That system is there to help people in trouble , neither you or anybody else in this land, can justify the benefits of it's removal.

Are you the BNP candidate for Kintyre ? ... Daftie.

Just shows how out of touch Cameron is if he thinks that people are going to get married in their droves to save three quid a week. Now, what can you buy with that? Well, you could always put it towards a packet of 10 fags or even a pint.

The reality of the matter is the pricey sum of £1-50p each. Marriage appears to a great number of people to be relatively unimportant. Most of them seem to fall in love and get together, without it appears the fear of the social stigma of having a bastard child. Personally I think the government favour marriage, as a convenient way of keeping track on people. Not as they would have us believe, maintaining the strengths values and virtues of the Family unit. Of course the established churches have a vested interest, in preserving the rapidly diminishing status quo. At the end of the day marriage can't make a family.

It's hardly likely though is it ?

You know we could have a stab at playing democracy, the best candidate being picked is essentially aristocratic in nature ( undemocratic ) I don't know about you, I have had it - with these best people coming forward to represent my interests.
There is absolutely no reason why we can't have referendums on any number of issues. This could be through the television and internet. These new TV shows appear to use the technology required. As far as political parties are concerned, perhaps they should enjoy a similar fate as that of the dinosaur.
Your correct of course why bother to vote !

The 6th. of May 2010 will go down in history as a sad day in Norn Iron politics as The Rev.Ian Paisley relinquishes his parliamentary seat he has held for 40 years.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown paid his own tribute to the former D.U.P. leader by saying...................
“He has been a passionate advocate on behalf of the unionist community for over four decades and his courage, both in committing to the path of reconciliation and compromise and in playing such a significant part in bringing the unionist community in Northern Ireland with him, has enabled Northern Ireland to look forward to a bright, peaceful and more prosperous future.”
The voters in his North Antrim constituency are left pondering on how to ‘replace the irreplaceable’.

The Camclegg clique... Right that's it then ! I'm on my high horse. Scotland has been let down once again, by those apologists of the Union. 85% of people in Scotland, never voted for either Tory or Liberal, yet we now have a Tory Prime Minister ! Democracy don't make me cry.

A sad Con Dem Nation right enough ionns!
Should Scotland be an Independent country?

Yes, I believe Scotland is a country and should therefore govern itself.
No, Scotland is not a country it is simply part of the UK and should therefore be governed from London.

Ions, we are ALL let down Man! The sight of that harlot Clegg waving at the door of No 10 made me feel sick to my stomach. But you can sit pretty Ions because you won't suffer - it will be the likes of us with jobs that are in most fear! You young people on here look out because people like me were once young under a Tory Government and I still look back in anger at paying 17% interest on my mortgage and lived every day of it thinking I would lose everything. All these dafties voting for change were like turkeys voting for Christmas. And yes, Scotland have even MORE to be angrier about!

I didn't say that and certainly didn't mean it if that's how it came across BUT was trying to say that we are ALL going to suffer. And sorry Ionns - someone has to pay and that will have to be the ordinary working man and woman in the street and their cuts in benefits and especially their wage packets. In fact, they've started already with the National Insurance rises.

I actually feel quite sick by it all, particularly by that sycophantic Clegg and the fact he went with a right-wing party when I thought the foundation of the Lib Dems was to promote equality and fairness for all. Liberal, being the main word here, is something that the Tories are not, apart from when it comes to helping the rich get richer.

As uncomfortable as I am in coming to terms with a Lib Con Dem Nation (brilliant pun by the way Hume) I cannot see what other alternatives there were, given that the Labour Party were clearly unwilling to enter into any serious negotiations with the Lib Dems. The process of Government had to continue and the uncertainty was potentially dangerous. Maybe I’m being naïve but I’m hoping that the Lib Dems may prove to be a positive influence on the Tories and steer them away from some of their right wing policies.

However I’m getting really tired of the quote that “The people voted for a hung Parliament”. The people didn’t vote for that. Each individual voter voted for a single candidate and a single party and as a consequence of the cumulative vote the result was a hung Parliament…..a totally different thing. I cannot remember “hung Parliament” being a choice on my ballot paper.

Anyway, that’s what we now have and we need to try and make the best of it. No doubt things will become clearer over the next few weeks and months as to just how difficult a time we are all going to face. I too fear for my job along with many others and remember the 17% interest rates all too well. Here’s hoping we never return to those levels again.

If there is any consolation to be had - I suppose you can always find comfort in the fact, that your country of residence at least voted Tory. The voters of Scotland overwhelmingly rejected the Tory Party, the vast majority supported your party.
So how does the democracy of the British Union, serve the people of Scotland and Wales ? The Conservative Party have little in the way of a mandate, yet we have foisted upon us - a Hooray Henry - no sorry it's two of the latter.
Is it any any way surprising, that the Liberal Party has taken a swing to the right, your party has been doing it for years.
I foresee industrial action on a mass scale, Public Sector Workers will fight the savage cuts planned, Scotland at that point in time - should declare a unilateral declaration of Independence

Just as a matter of interest how did you manage to lose your right to vote Ionns.

Does anyone else hope that this hung parliament may be a positive thing if it leads to some form of electoral reform. I am totally hacked off with the swinging between Labour and Conservative, they just cancel each other out over time.

I'd have to say I do Gizmo. My fear is that the desire for it to fail will exceed the hope for it to succeed. Already the media are scrutinising every word and every movement hoping to expose a rift. You wonder how long any cabinet can survive under that kind of pressure. None of the media pundits predicted this deal could be brokered and it's almost as if they are alligned to deliver a collective "I told you so" when the partnership collapses. As I said previously we may have a better idea of things to come in a few weeks time.
