I know I'll cry until my dying day has come
Let the Winter roll along

Definitely ,nothing worse than passing a pub when ten or so people are standing smoking ,cursing and swearing and making a mess of the pavements with dogends .

I believe that pubs should be allowed to have a seperate room where no drinks are allowed and plenty of strong extraction.I stopped smoking over twenty years ago but i can still understand peoples need for a fag ,but standing in the street is definitely not the answer

Latest H&S directive is apparently no smoking within 40 feet of any door or openable window AND not allowed back into the building for 10 minutes after stubbing out the fag. :<> .

I am not a smoker and hate smoking BUT . . . what's next? Not eating chocolate in public, God forbid? :<>

Why there can't be designated areas/rooms for smokers is beyond me.

Put it this way, if they had smoking/non smoking pubs, I bet my last
pound that the smoking pubs would be the busiest.
But you're right, what's next?

I used to work in a factory canteen, and the factory had a designated smoking room, but it was we canteen staff who had the privilege of cleaning in there, and as a non-smoker I found it an absolutely VILE job! By all means have smoking rooms, but let the smokers clean them!

In our main street there is a pub just about in the centre of it where kids ,old ladies walk along doing their shopping on a Saturday and there are loads standing outsjde the pub swearing .smoking spitting ,hardly the best advert for the town .If they were in the pub they would not be allowed to spit on the floor ,swear or smoke so why should they be allowed to do so outside it in the street. It's about time they put a stop to it.

Smoking in public doorways, yes is should be banned.
Smoking in your own doorway, no it shouldn't be banned.
