Shorter sentences for murder

Postby bill » Thu Mar 15, 2007 3:27 pm

Having a heartfelt rant................

England's most senior judge has renewed his call for shorter prison sentences and warned that Britain's jails risk filling up with "geriatric lifers".
The lord chief justice, Lord Phillips, suggested in a speech at the University of Birmingham yesterday that mandatory life sentences for murderers were compounding the prisons overcrowding crisis..........

I totally agree. The maximum sentence for murder should be three months.

THAT IS, THREE MONTHS FROM DATE OF SENTENCING TO DATE OF EXECUTION

I know I'll cry until my dying day has come
Let the Winter roll along

Not a great one for reading from the Bible Annie,it's more to do with scum getting their just desserts.

For instance, the guy in Kettering who was sentenced to life imprisonment this week for the murder of his SEVEN WEEK old daughter

"He then tried to explain to her why he sexually abused his baby, adding: "I don't know – curiosity. Because I'm sick, because there's something wrong with me."
During her 53-day life Jessica was subjected to almost daily abuse from her father, including kicking her across the floor, stamping on her chest and sexually abusing her.
He told police he resented the child from the moment she was born and thought of killing her every day."

Agreed Bill and Annie. What the **** are we doing?

I think that this country is in danger of sending signals out to idiots that it's OK to do as you want and because the prisons are full we won't punish you. For the crime that Bill has referred to, if the prisons are full let's just put the perpetrators to the cemetery.

Oh my freaking GOD!

There is absolutely no excuse for that man. He should be abused, kicked, stomped on, and you know what - he should be beaten until he pleads for death, and then death should be given to him - very, very painfully! What a sick individual this man is ...

Sorry, he is not sick, he is a sadistic son of a bitch who should burn in hell!

Anyone who has been a parent knows that there are times where you are stretched to the limit, but you DO NOT, DO NOT even give yourself the remote possiblity of actually committing acts as heinous as this man has done, and then to turn around and say - "Oh, I'm sick!"

That is such a cheap cop out. I don't buy it for a freaking minute, and neither should any of you!

Here is what should happen to him (and let's televise it!!!):

Bend over - here it comes - how does it feel!!!!!!!!!!! He should undergo every painful thing he did to that child, by someone who is bigger than him!!

AND - more to the point - where was the mother of the baby while all this was going on??

Is she not at least a little culpable in this matter?????????

Maybe she should be in jail too, any thoughts? ... please!?

I would absolutely love to debate this topic with anyone who is interested!

Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to be so - visual and vocal, but I believe that people like this should have their "entrails" pulled from their bodies and hung over the closest barbed wire for miles and miles.!!!

It just makes me mad! I don't know whether to cry or to find out where he lives and kill him!!

said it before, but am for death sentence for particular crimes. The example Bill gave being one of them. There have 6 fatal stabbings this week including kids and a priest.Softly softly is not the answer for me anyway. Forensics have come a long way and continue to improve all the time.
If that is too "nice" for them how about putting them in the general population of the jail and see what happens to them then.Suppose then i am agreeing with Bill And Annie's sentiments.

As for the mother i can only assume she is either as sick as him,or she is scared to death of him for whatever reasons.Either way she must have known something was going on,so i suppose i have just answered my own question!!

Aye its totally Fugazi - all of it

No matter what you do to him, justice will never be done.

And nothing long term will be gained.
Any form of punishment will not deter these kind of people committing these terrible acts.
The old executioner Pierrepoint admitted that the death penalty did not stop people killing others.
