Four Eyes, there are many of us who are not hiding behind Coronation Street and living like the ignorant Proles you imagine us to be. Thank you very much for your warnings but I am quite aware.

As for Syria, I, like others, have watched those poor people in horror but there has to be another way other than military intervention.

Horrific Roger but a war that can have no effect is not the answer at the moment, I believe. The UN is still unclear about who made that attack. We need to learn from our previous experiences about fighting pointless wars - we cannot fight all the world's problems. What about China? What about Korea? Africa? Pakistan? The list goes on and don't even mention countries where we've intervened and achieved nothing.

Last night was an example of democracy in action. Remember that Blair did not listen to people or take account of their feelings in regards to conflict. Cameron must. The UN and international treaties are there for a reason.

We are not turning our back on Syria but I think a war is not the answer.

Perhaps Cameron can explain where our Army is going to get the men to fight. Are you all mad?We dont even have an aircraft carrier anymore, our army would be pushed to fill Wembley stadium,we have a few aircraft but the costs are staggering.
http://www.publications.parliament.uk/p ... 50we05.htm

i include this from the above report.
Flying cost data comes from Written Answers as up-to-date as January 2011. Typical data includes:

Tornado GR4

£35,000 per hour

Typhoon

£70–90,000 per hour

The data tends to get followed with a paragraph:

“This includes forward and depth servicing, fuel costs, crew costs, training costs and the cost of capital charge and depreciation. The Typhoon cost per flying hour reflects the smaller numbers of aircraft currently in the fleet and their relatively short period in service. This is expected to reduce significantly over the in-service life of the aircraft.”

Other costs for support aircraft have tended to revolve around £30–40,000 per flight hour. In all calculations, low costs have been adopted to avoid over-inflating figures.

The point about the c£35,000 per flight hour is that this is the basis on which the MoD has to account for such activities, that is it has to take account of spare parts, maintenance contracts and the like. It is a very “global” figure, but it is an accurate one.

Another figure has been provided for the cost of a flight hour, based solely on fuel costs. This, for a Tornado GR4 is £5,000.

You pay if you want to,the jihadis will take all volunteers available if your feeling that bad.So there you have it! put up or stop crying about some murderous madmen in the middle east, they dont like us and only seeem happy when killing each other,so let em!

Yes, if you click on the users name, underneath the drop-down list for Groups you will find an option for "Add Foe" - that means all their posts are then hidden.

If you choose certain users you can now read the entire Jimmy Saville thread in about 30 seconds. Be aware you will obviously be hiding from the truth and sleepwalking your way into oblivion - the choice is yours!
