Obituary

Postby Govangirl » Wed Mar 23, 2011 6:24 pm

The once mighty social forum giant, Current Affairs, nee Speakers Corner, died last week after a long, hard-fought battle with cannaebeersedinoma, a common form of the syndrome caused by the Apathy virus. It was the first forum site to amass a large and devoted following of people with narcissistic personality disorder. Seeking out both conventional and alternative treatments for the disease, Current Affairs tried everything, including a controversial plan to kidnap Ionnsaigh and hide him on the moon but unfortunately this was the final nail in the proverbial coffin. In 2011, it passed away peacefully surrounded by a few faithful friends.

An online memorial service will be broadcast on YouTube where users can share their memories, moods, rants, prejudices and grammatical errors. A final Current Affairs party will be held afterwards up Ionnsaigh’s close. In lieu of flowers, former members request that you send donations to Find the Apathy Cure.
Grief counselling will also be made available by logging on to The Forum’s other threads, wherein former users will be encouraged to talk to themselves
RIP

Blow away the dreams that break your heart
Blow away the lies that leave you nothing but lost and brokenhearted

Well Pete,it was definitely still barely breathing at the weekend. I had to apply CPR but it was no use, it was unresponsive.

Still, no-one seems to miss it . . .
