The Pope

Postby ionnsaigh » Tue Sep 14, 2010 10:34 am

God bless him.... The planned visit by the head of the Roman Catholic Church to Scotland, will apparently generate £13m pounds, to a cash starved economy. If the cost of the visit is estimated at £12m, then you do the math. Everyone and anyone ( that's Two ) is going to swell the ranks of the great and good, including that holy man from Ireland, the Rev Ian Paisley. I would imagine however, that he will be singing from a different hymn book, than that of pop stars, Susan Boyle and Michele McManus. Labour MSP Michael McMahon is quoted " We live in a free and democratic society " Try getting your arse up to Sringburn Mick - then ask yourself - what is free and democratic about poverty.
Cardinal O'Brien wants the catholic community to follow the moral compass set out by El Papa. Me I just wish that most of the guests parents - had used contraception - including the ex Nazi. :D

Quote in today's paper from Cardinal Keith O'Brien re Ian Paisley:

"Basically, if Ian Paisley didn't come, I wouldn't have thought the visit was worthwhile. It shows how important this visit is that Ian Paisley's coming along to protest."

Lets hope Paisley stays away then. I passed a wee Catholic primary school in Wyndford, Maryhill, last night. All decked out in papal colours bunting. Seems like the poor and ignorant remain loyal to the faith, regardless the estimated 100,000 children being raped and abused by Catholic clergy, only to have the sex offenders moved to another hunting ground, by the church.
God bless.

A key member of the Popes band, Cardinal Kasper, the not so friendly ( holy ghost ) has pulled out of the big £20 a ticket gig. Vatican sources quote health reasons ( remember they do not lie - or at least you wouldn't expect them too ) of course they can always fall back on the old catholic get out clause of, Bless me Father for I have sinned. Yes that's the one, used by the thousands of pedophiles and child molesters, hiding behind that cloak of Catholic respectability. The cloak has both, a dog collar or habit. Lets not underestimate the world wide abuse of children in the care of the Church. Then of course there is the adults, if you happen to be a women then your regarded as being second class, along with the homosexual and gay communities - If you are unfortunate enough to have some incurable disease, then don't hold your breath waiting for a miracle or Stem Cell research. Oh and the act of sexual intercourse is for making babies ( nothing else ) pity some of their own didn't take heed. A man can't marry if he happens to be a priest, condoms are right out the window - if you catch Aids, then it's your own fault. It goes on and on and on, all in the name of love.
Anyway back to Herr Kasper, and his comments about the English Capitals Airport Heathrow. He likens it to arriving in a Third World country, oh dear - racist undertones surface - he claims Christians are being discriminated against ( take heart all you Protestants, El Papa's speaking on your behalf ) by an aggressive new Atheism that has swept the country
( actually we are Four countries ) The hierarchy has reacted swiftly by putting some clear blue water between, the uttering's of an individual, to that of the official Vatican line.

Catholic News Service quotes Fr Lombardi, Vatican spokesman, at length, in Church spokesmen downplay German cardinal’s remarks about Britain

At the Vatican, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, the papal spokesman, also issued a statement to clarify the cardinal’s comments, which he said “have no negative intention and do not reflect any lack of appreciation for the United Kingdom.”

He said the cardinal “wanted to refer to the fact that from the moment of one’s arrival at London’s airport — as happens in many great cities of the world today, but in London in particular for its unique historic role as capital of the United Kingdom — one is aware from the very beginning that one finds oneself in a country in which many human realities from diverse origins and conditions arrive and encounter each other: a cosmopolitan reality, a crucible of modern humanity, with its differences and its problems.”

Father Lombardi added: “As far as the reference to atheism, he was referring evidently to the positions of some noted authors who are particularly aggressive and who cover themselves with scientific or cultural arguments, but which in reality don’t have the value that they claim. This doesn’t mean, naturally, that Cardinal Kasper is unaware that these positions and trends are limited, or that he does not recognize the great values of the British culture.”

Holy Spin - God Bless Them.

From Newsarse...The Third World is where all your followers are dying of AIDS, everyone reminds Vatican
Everyone this morning reminded the Catholic church that the Third World is actually that place where their followers are dying of AIDS because they’ve told them not to use condoms.

“Just ask someone what happens if you have sex with a condom. If they start pointing at the sky and screaming about an eternity in a fiery hell, you’re almost certainly in the Catholic influenced third world.”

Cardinal Kasper

This post isn't strictly speaking - my own views - and if the truth be known - it's not politically correct.

See how politically correct we have all become, these two figures look like Aliens, at first glance. On closer inspection however, one gets the impression of a girl and a man, both as Black as the ace of spades. Hypothetically, as a Black man, I would suggest that most of the abuse was carried out by White Men, on White Children, at least in these Four countries. One thing we Whites have to our advantage, is that we share the same colour as God, Christ, Moses, The Twelve Disciples, The Virgin Mary, Mary and Joseph, The Pope, Why don't the Darkies get a Black God ? or for that matter a lesbian Virgin Mary, raped by a Scottish Ghost.

Aye it must be grand - being a white christian protestant - attacking the faith of others - with some degree of enthusiasm
Should we start a thread on Calvinism, the Reformation and John Knox ?

Yes your correct, I would. Free thought, unburdened by the rules of convention, and unhindered by the fear of name calling, to my mind, can only be a good thing.
Now John Knox.
