Fourteen people turn up at The Pearly Gates and ask to be let in to Heaven.
The gatekeeper bids them to stay there while he asks St.Peter.
"There are fourteen people at the gate asking for permission to enter."
St.Peter says,"Ask them if they have ever done anything honest."
The gatekeeper goes away and returns a short time later.
"They have gone."said the gatekeeper.
St.Peter asked,"The people?"
"No,the flipping gates. (Not quite the same is it?)

To the Forum Moderators
If instead of "Travellers" or "Pikeys", Roger had typed Jews/Blacks/Pakis, you would have deleted this post as racist. I am asking you to consider whether this post should be treated the same way.

Get a grip Mo.. If he had written Jews,Blacks or Pakis it wouldnt have been funny.. They wouldnt have stole the gates.

At least I can spell humour correctly.That should help at my next job interview.Pikeys are not a race but a nick name for a band of roving,tax avoiding thieves.That is reality,so how can I be dubbed racist?

Furthermore,I am not referring to Gypsies.They are indeed a race.In my 40 year involvement with Land Rover vehicles I have sold many vehicles to the Gypsy fraternity and have always found them to be honourable and trustworthy.So therefore if you are assuming that Pikey and Gypsy are as one,it is you who is being racist.By the way,do you drive a Transit pick-up with a load of dodgy tarmacadam in the back?

Maybe I am a traveller Roger. Maybe other forum members are too. I don't know any pikeys but among them there are likely honest ones and dishonest ones, like in all walks of life.
Your attitude is awful, wanting to shoot people whose views you don't agree with, or who have lifestyle you don't approve of. You even have a dig at my spelling. I may not have had your education, but my views still count. At least I am not bigoted.

Roger, for goodness sake, will you just apologise and explain very contritely that it was a joke and you won't do it again - please! I'd send on my supply of P Oil tablets but Hugh has had them all in a special deal we made.
