Does anyone wish to help? Seriously - it could make all the difference.

Good to hear some of our members are on the road to recovery. I've kind side stepped the forum for the last couple of years due to other commitments which means I don't have the time to post like I did before. However, I've said to many people I still believe there is a place for the forum - I especially miss the local topics of discussion. More and more people have moved to Facebook etc but the problem with this is it is very much there and gone the next day whereas here on the forum the debate/thread can easily be found and will be here for forever. (well as long as we keep it going)

Ironically I've just been for a break and one of the things I was thinking about when I was away was to start pushing the forum again and see if we can get more regular debate going etc.

Anyone up for it? :)

yes Facebook is quicker to upload but you have to be on daily to keep up with posts,as you say they disappear down the line.

love this site and the goats. Check in at least daily. would love to see more postings. It is a very good site for visitors or anyone looking for something specific from the locals.

On reading about the folk who no longer contribute to the Forum, I remembered how much I enjoyed the banter of the Carradale contributors, usually about what was happening in the village. Maybe you had to belong to the village to appreciate the humour. Judging by the Forum, Carradale seems to be a ghost village these days.

Well Ah nivir! Whit a well educated fella ye must be,Bitterend. Ah Hanna a clue whit a " viviparus " wis, an had tae Google it---- river snail. Ah presume the Bochan must either have a Waterfoot connection or live on the banks o' the Burn
Ave bin doing a wee bit o' research as tae whit's going on in Carradale these days. Naw much among the men,but Am amazed at the activities o the wummen. No wonder they Havna time tae be contributing tae the Forum. If they are naw at the Tai- Chi, they are power-wakin the Shore Road and then on tae the Big Bay.After that it's off tae the Yoga in the Toon, and they are managing as well, tae fit in a wee game of golf at Machrihanish or back in the Village. They are all fit as fiddles, so the men o' the Village better watch out! Am thinking ye must have a Cambeltoon connection,Bitterend.Carradill folk wid never use the word 'cried' instead of 'called', as you did in your comment 'I've never been cried that before' Maybe it's jest a red herring!
