Can anyone tell me the origin of the phrase "to make a right shine " ? It was often heard in the Carradale of my youth when someone was describing a confrontation, and the person who was angry was described as "making a right shine"

Do the locals still say "how" when others might say "why?"

I suppose that started as "how come".

I think ,on reflection,in the Carradale of my youth, we were more likely to say someone had made a "wild shine", and we also spoke about a "wild sharroy" again meaning a confrontation between two people. I had forgotten the word "sharroy"
